Knife-edged ridges with mist-shrouded peaks separate the spectacular valleys. The home of Maui?s only department stores, Sears and Macy's, plus more than 100 shops and restaurants, from cool island-style boutiques to such national names as Gap, Sharper Image, Foot Locker and Borders Express.   Maui Mountain Riders Bike Tours: If you're up for an exhilarating ride down the slopes of Mount Haleakala, a dormant volcano located in one of the most picturesque places in the world, Maui Downhill's ready for you. Your route is entirely flexible, and can consist of 10-38 miles as you wind your way down the mountainside. You're escorted by professional guides the whole way, and Maui Downhill provides all the necessary equipment, including a chrome mountain bicycle, safety helmet, warm windbreaker suit and insulated gloves.
